Services
Civil and electrical work from one contractor
On solar and wind sites, Quebar can take a cable route from excavation through cable pulling to termination, so there is no hand-over between a civils and an electrical subcontractor.
Electrical construction
Solar PV and wind plant construction, MV cable jointing and termination, substations, and overhead lines from 11 to 132 kV.
Civil construction
Trenching, manholes, backfill and compaction on solar and wind sites, plus general building, roads, paving and structures.
Operations and maintenance
Preventive and corrective maintenance, testing and inspection of solar, wind and electrical infrastructure.

Founded and run by Quentin Barends
Quentin Barends learned his trade at Eskom and has more than 20 years of industry experience. He is the company's accredited MV cable jointing and termination specialist, so that work is done in-house rather than subcontracted.
Quebar is 100% Black-owned. Its director, electricians and operational supervisor are listed, with their qualifications, on the team page.
Plant hire with an operator
Each machine comes with a Quebar operator. The machines are based in Prieska and hired out to sites across the Northern Cape.
